Synopsis
BLITHE SPIRIT is the film adaptation of Noel Coward’s 1941 acclaimed comic stage play.
Socialite and novelist Charles Condomine (Dan Stevens) invites the eccentric medium and clairvoyant, Madame Arcati (Judi Dench), to his house to conduct a séance, hoping to gather material for his next book. The scheme backfires when he his haunted by the ghost of his annoying and temperamental first wife, Elvira (Lesley Mann). Elvira makes continual attempts to disrupt Charles’ marriage to his second Ruth (Isla Fisher), who cannot see or hear the ghost.
