Wicker

Synopsis

On the outskirts of an English village by the sea, lives a Fisherwoman (played by Olivia Colman); smelly, single and perpetually ridiculed. One day, fed up with her stuffy, small-minded neighbours, she commissions herself a husband to be made from wicker (played by Alexander Skarsgård).

In an otherwise conservative town, this unconventional romance sparks outrage, jealousy and chaos.

“An endearingly deranged fairytale of love, lust, and lattice” (Diaspora)
“Bursting with charm and stunning wicker work…Wicker works” (That Hollywood Show)
“Unapologetically raunchy, frequently hilarious, and remarkably perceptive about the expectations surrounding love and marriage” (The Jam Report)
“Olivia Colman and Alexander Skarsgård shine in this beautifully crafted story about love, loneliness, marriage, and societal expectations. Funny, strange, charming, and far more insightful than I expected” (Movie Files)
